Sunday was Mother's Day; but even more monumental than that (Love ya mom), it was the day I said goodbye to my healthy "virgin hair". My cute hairdresser sister-in-law decided it was time for a change, and I willingly obeyed. After years of contemplating whether or not to change my hair color and opposing persuasions from friends and relatives I finally caved in. Here are the "during" and "after" shots.

The "after" shot was not supposed to be taken at that exact second, hence the huge fake smile. Here is your tip of the day: As a high school seminary student, one of my teachers told us the story of his wedding day and how he was followed by a photographer the whole day long. At the beginning of the day, the photographer noticed that the smiles of both the bride and groom seemed a little bit forced. My teacher, claiming that this was because nerves got the better of him, said that the photographer gave them the best advice when it comes to taking pictures: if you don't feel like smiling, smile as big as you can until your face hurts and then when it's time to say CHEESE your smiles will come out looking as natural as can be. It's true, and it's exactly what I was doing in the "after" shot above, but the camera beat me to it an snapped a shot of my goofy big fake smile.

Way fun, Hay! I like it!
Your hair looks GORGIOUS!! Your sister in law knows what she is doing :)
I love your new haircut. I can't believe you had "vigin hair" now you can never ever go back...well that's untrue - I went back once when I was a sophmore, but that is because I butched my hair. Never again will i butch my hair, so I will never have virgin hair again. It's kinda sad, but a lot more fun!!!! Now you can do whatever you want cause you have color in it anyway!!! So I'm assuming you're living with your parents right now while searching for a job/apartment. Not fun times at all. Apartment--kinda fun. Job--absolutely horrible. I'm in the same situation as you. I'm always looking. I have the most horrible job right now. Pay is okay, but the job sucks. The only reason I am here is because it's flexible with school -- I'm way too picky also!! Soooooo.... good luck!
